The House of Azuola is an historic Spanish noble house of Basque origin, descending from the ancestral Solar of Azula(Azula Baserria). Its roots also extend to the historic ancestral estates of Egurbide—formerly known as Egurbidetorreaor Egurbide Haundi—and Lamarraín, all documented in the town of Elgeta since the late fifteenth century.

Throughout the centuries, members of the House of Azuola served the Spanish Monarchy and played a significant role in the administration and public institutions of both Spain and the Spanish dominions in the Americas. Among its distinguished members were Knights of the Order of Santiago, recipients of the Royal and Distinguished Order of Charles III, and Hereditary Treasurers General of the Royal Crusade of the Kingdom of New Granada. Members of the House also held prominent responsibilities during the political transformation of Spanish America, particularly in the history of Gran Colombia and the Independence of Colombia.
